> The new crew has found its own way and the good work atmosphere will allow the team to improve quickly, but also to carry on developping the boat
> Next step for the team: Kiel Week regatta 18-24 June

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE quickly got into the game this week, despite the fact that the team was racing together for the first time in Barcelona, with 60% of the crew that was new to start this season. The team managed to take some good starts in particular, but also to achieve a good speed downwind. So the week was pretty encouraging, after a difficult start due to technical issues. The team remained focused, trying to get into the match the fastest possible way, while racing against well-trained competitors.

Stephane Kandler, ALL4ONE's CEO and crew member: "We had a technical problem during the delivery between Valencia and Barcelona, so we could not train when we arrived in Barcelona! So we sailed for the first time on Friday (the team has not been able to race the 3 first races on Thursday), but with 20kts of wind we did quite well for a first sail! We made a few mistakes, but we were happy with the speed of the boat. We're happy to be "in the mix", but moreover we're happy to have been able to sail in good conditions."

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE then achieved its first podium yesterday with a 3rd place in the first race of the day, in a wind from 10 to 12 knots this time. After a good start, the team managed to keep the same position all the race, thanks to good tactics.
No racing on Sunday unfortunately, due to a lack of wind.

The very good atmosphere and teamwork onboard will be key to keep on progressing, and the team goes in the right direction thanks to that.

The important point during this event was to find the team's place at a good level, which has been the case, even if there is still some work to carry on developing the boat in its new configuration for the next 52 Super Series events in Palma in July (Royal Cup and Copa del Rey regattas).

Before that, the team will take part to the biggest European sailing event: Kieler Woche (Kiel Week), 16-24 June, which will allow the team to sail in different conditions than the ones of the Mediterranean waters, but also to race against different types of competitors versus the ones that the team usually fights against. The French-German team will also be able to carry on developing the boat through different types of regattas, and mainly thanks to offshore races, which will increase its performance and polyvalence.

Results After 7 Races:

It was impressive to see Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE get straight into the mix considering that this was their first day on the 52 with no training and they have a high percentage of new crew this season. Spain’s Gonzalo Araujo – who previously steered Bribon – is on the helm, with Manuel Weiller calling tacticcs and Germany’s Boris Herrmann navigating.
Stephane Kandler (FRA) runners and team CEO Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE (FRA/GER) explains this morning:
“ We have a new crew, 60% new for this event. We had technical problem during the delivery so we could not train and so yesterday went OK for a training day! So with 20kts we were happy with the speed of the boat. We made some little mistakes. The idea is to bring in new blood, and so the likes of Boris Herrmann is young and a fast learner, the fact is the programme is open to anybody. Boris knows the electronics and is very calm, a very quick learner and also our tactician is quite young. We are aiming to promote young talent from anywhere, mainly from Europe. We try to sail with a European crew and have many Spanish here – we have many Bribon crew – so it is good mix of good guys. So we are happy after yesterday because it was no fun waiting on the dock for four days. That was the first time the team sailed together, so we are pretty happy.”
We are for sure disappointed but the crew is eager to be back in the game and prepares the racing and the boat on shore with a lot of motivation."

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE introduces new Official Sponsor « The First Club » on the occasion of Trofeo Conde de Godo in Barcelona (23-27 May), which is the first step of the French-German team 2012’s season.

Denis Huré, the first club™’s CEO, explains with lots of enthusiasm: "We are honoured to join as a sponsor of the "Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE". The partnership with this team is an opportunity for us to continue increasing brand awareness at an international level. The promise of the first club™ platform is to offer the most compelling digital solution to the loyalty, promotional and corporate incentive markets. As the first branded multilingual platform in the space, with millions of downloadable choices anywhere in the world, how you want it and whenever you want it. The platform can be integrated with a Brand's own loyalty points or miles. the first club™ has provided flexible solutions to international companies such as InterContinental Hotels Group PRIORITY CLUB® REWARDS, Sodexo Group and Edenred with more exciting partnership announcements to come."

After the winter preparation that was organised by the Shore Team, followed by a training and tests session in Valencia early May with the sailors, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE is now ready to start this new season with a lot of freshness and envy.

Stephane Kandler, ALL4ONE’s CEO, confirms: "We are delighted to get a new partner for our project who has been seduced by the similarities between our companies: multi-cultural and technology driven. Like "Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE", it is a young innovative and international company that wishes to approach the competition with a new strategy. After the winter works and the first successful tests made in Valencia at the beginning of May, we wish to validate some of our options in Barcelona during our first real racing conditions against our future competitors. This will enable us to keep on developing the boat for the season, which will see us participating to the 52 Super Series and the Kiel Week.
Unfortunately Jochen Schümann has not recovered yet fully from a hand injury, and Jordi Calafat finishes its round the world race with "Team Telefonica" (on the Volvo Ocean Race), so we will have a slightly different team for Barcelona. We have therefore found a promising solution as we will host a large part of the crew from the successful former Spanish TP52 "Bribon" on board, which will bring their history and new eye from their experience on another reference of the TP world. We will sail this regatta without pressure and our objective will be to play as many podiums as we can."

I’m glad to sail again the Trofeo Conde de Godó here in Barcelona, which is one of my favourite sailing places.
I’m very excited to sail with this crew, some of them are good friends, but all are professional sailors.
Anyway, for the Team it is the first regatta this season; so it’s a different approach than for other the teams.
There are some crew and boat changes this season, so for this first test the expectations are more on the process than on the results: the main goal is to start working again together, to understand the new boat configuration and performance, and to try to finish the week working as a crew, and well prepared for the next events.
As a helmsman, I will fight for every race as always, but with the main goal for the week in mind, as a part of a season that is still starting for the Team.”
For the third consecutive season, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE will be skippered by Jochen Schümann
(2 times winner of the America's Cup and 3 times Olympic Gold Medallist).
The crew has been built with a strong heritage from the two past seasons. Some new comers will reinforce the team, such as successful Olympic sailors Pascal Rambeau (FRA) and Jordi Calafat (ESP), also winner of the America's Cup and currently leading the Volvo Ocean Race with team Telefonica. Boris Herrmann (young successful Offshore sailor), Juan Meseguer (from North Sails, very talented trimmer and also winner of the 33rd America's Cup with BMW Oracle Racing) and Ignacio Braquehais (top experimented mainsail trimmer with solid experience from the America's Cup and MedCup Circuit) will also be crucial assets for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE to compete in the most prestigious European sailing events.
Some talented German sailors will also join the team especially for Kiel Week.

Jochen Schümann, Sports Director: "52 Series 2012 will be a transition season for TP class after the successful years of Audi MedCup. Only a few top teams will sail - a small, but very competitive fleet in 52 Series. Extra highlights in 2012 for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE will be the races of "Kieler Woche" in June and of "Copa del Rey" in July. Both regattas are supported and key events for our main partner - Audi. Our core crew will sail together again, improved by few new Spanish and German sailors. We are looking forward to a challenging season 2012."
Stephan Kandler, CEO of ALL4ONE comments on the 2012 crew:
"We had a busy winter in order to prepare our boat and crew to our 'European Tour', which will see very different weather conditions. From the crew point of view, we had to adapt ourselves to these new challenges and we are happy to integrate more or less new faces along with the backbone of sailors we have since 2009.
Spanish sailor Jordi Calafat (double Olympic medallist and winner of the America's Cup) comes back as tactician (he was a member of ALL4ONE in 2009) after the Volvo Ocean Race, which he is currently leading on Telefonica. Boris Herrmann, a promising offshore sailor (5th of the Barcelona World Race in 2011) will be our navigator, and Pascal Rambeau will assist the afterguard (Star boat Olympic medallist and World Champion). It is a promising team following the open philosophy of ALL4ONE.
Last but not least we are happy to pursue our partnership with adidas with whom we are working since 3 years to develop new sailing products."

Indeed, adidas will continue to support Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE as its Official Clothing Supplier, a successful sponsorship that started in 2009 with the birth of the new German-French sailing platform ALL4ONE.

Frank Maier, adidas, Director Sales & Licensing, Heartbeat Sports:
"We are very happy to continue our partnership with the Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE, which has started in 2009. The innovation philosophy of this international high level sailing team fits in well with adidas. It is complementary to our existing partnership with the skipper Jochen Schümann and we look forward to working again closely together this season."
Stephan Kandler, CEO of ALL4ONE comments on the coming season: "Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE starts its 3rd season and we are proud to bear Audi's colours on the different seas in Europe. There are some challenges in the program we have chosen because we will sail in the biggest European sailing regattas such as the Copa del Rey and the Kiel Week. Sailing in these regattas will enable us to have some new faces on board around the core team, who has been sailing together for a few years now. It has always been one of the main goals of our platform to bring up new talents. It is a great opportunity for us to build with continuity and to prepare the future of sailing, and to be a strong platform for sponsors using our international marketing approach as well as the great hospitality and branding opportunities."

Indeed, the team is aiming at integrating new talents from Audi Sailing Team Germany during the season.

Three-times Olympic champion and twice America's Cup winner Jochen Schümann explains the team's plan from the sports programme point of view: "I'm happy to come "home" with Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE, sailing for the first time with our TP52 in all races of Kiel Week 2012, and flying Kieler Yacht Club's burgee. This will be a great opportunity to showcase Audi Sailing Team and our 52 Racer in Germany. Young Sailing Team Germany sailors and guests will have the chance to sail with us on board during daily races in Kiel.
Second main event in 2012 for Audi Sailing Team will be in July with the 31. Copa del Rey in Palma - just before the Olympics.
We are looking forward to a thrilling season - sailing in Baltic Sea and in Med again."

One of the highlights of the 2012 sailing season for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE will for sure be its participation to the Kiel Week for the first time with its TP52 in June, which is actually one of the largest racing events in the world, supported by Audi, and organised by one of the two famous Yacht Clubs bound to the French-German team: The Kieler Yacht Club.

The 2012 Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE's crew list will be announced soon.

AUDI SAILING TEAM POWERED BY ALL4ONE LOOKING AT 2012

Porto Cervo (Sardinia, Italy) - 2011-10-08

The race course was not really easy to read on this last day of racing for the TP52 Worlds. The wind was quite light (approximately 10 knots throughout the day), and very shifty.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE did a good start on the first race of the day. The team rounded the first upwind mark in 6th position, then the downwind mark in 5th position after a good first downwind beat where the team pushed hard to come back.
But Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE chose the wrong side for the last downwind leg, and lost all that they gained till there. The team crossed the finish line in last position with Ran, just one second behind.

On the second race of the day, the Franco-German team started a bit behind, but chose the best side of the race course with wind. The match was quite tight between all the boats until the first upwind mark. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE remained very close, and did really good at the downwind mark by choosing the left buoy, then almost getting the 3rd place. But Gladiator managed to cross just a few meters in front of Jochen Schümann and his crew. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE finished 4th on this race after having done a nice job.

The 2011 season is now over, and it’s time to start the “winter projects” in order to prepare 2012. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE is very much looking forward to the next season, and will work hard to prepare it in the coming months.

Jochen Schümann, Skipper: ”Today was another difficult day, around 10 knots and below. We only had one Mistral day this week for the whole championship, which was unfortunately so windy that we couldn’t sail more than one race. Then we didn’t do too well in the light airs here. We won one event this year in Cagliari, in good Mistral conditions, which is positive. But we finish the Worlds in the back of the fleet, which is quite frustrating for the whole team. We have to sort out our boat this winter, at the moment we are not competitive at all in light airs, and this will be our top priority this winter.”

Stephane Kandler, CEO ALL4ONE: ”Today was a tricky day with shifty winds and waves, and it was quite complicated. We did some good things and some less good things, but in general I was pleased to see that the crew never gave up and tried to find solutions when we were back. It was anyway a hard championship for us. We were not favoured due to the very light conditions at the beginning of the championship, and it was tough for us to recover from there. So it is very frustrating, but there is not a lot to say, we were probably not good enough to reach the level. We can’t be satisfied with this season. We did some good things for sure, but it was very difficult, especially at the beginning, when we received the new boat. We made some mistakes during the winter with the choice of sails, so we paid the highest price at the beginning of the season, but we managed to recover from that very bad start. So the crew showed we could improve, and never gave up, again. But it was not sufficient, and for sure this World Championships are a bit bitter for us because we hoped to do better results. But that’s the way it is and now we have to move forward, and look forward to 2012, as there are a lot of things we have to do. We will work on the boat during the winter with all the datas we have, and with the architect especially, to see if we can modify the boat. We will also work on the sails, and analyze the good and bad points from this year. The level was very high this season, so we have to work a lot to be better and to improve for next year.”
The teams left the dock very early this morning (7:30am) in order to race before that the wind would become too strong. Between the moment when the boats left the dock, and the moment when the one and only race of the day was shortened with a finish at the second windward mark, the wind went up from 22 to 38 knots!
So the race committee had to send the boats back to the harbour after that, in order to avoid any damages.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE finishes 3rd of this 5th race in a very tight finish with Audi Azzurra and Container.
After a good start with a good speed on the line compared to its competitors, which was very positive compared to the previous days, the French-German team managed to play with the different wind shifts, and Jochen Schümann and his crew reached the same kind of good sensations that they found in the Audi Med Cup in Cagliari, where they won the event.
12 to 17 knots and choppy seas are expected for tomorrow. These conditions should allow Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE to fight in good conditions with their competitors for this last day of racing.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE had a good start in the middle of the line today, but chose the left of the race course, which was not favourable. Even coming back straight away to the right, the French-German boat got quickly out of the race in terms of pure speed, and the game was over after the first mark.
The lack of speed resulted in no opportunity to come back in the game, even if the crew never gave up.
Even Audi Azzurra (Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE’s “sister ship”), who started on the right of the race course, ends up suffering from the same problem.
The two boats, which are the less designed for these extremely light conditions, have still not been able to show their potential, a very frustrating situation for their crews.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE finishes 7th and Audi Azzurra 6th.
The wind conditions were as light as expected (8-9 knots). Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE finished 6th on this 3rd race of the week.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE’s crew members tried to close the door onto Audi Azzurra during the starting phase, when the Italian boat was trying to pass between them and the race committee boat. Container tried to take advantage of that situation at the same time. So both boats took the wind that the French-German sails needed to do a decent start. And Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE was nearly completely stopped as a consequence when crossing the start line.
Audi Azzurra ended up crossing the line too early, and had to round the committee boat before crossing that start line again.
Jochen Schümann and his crew did all they could to come back, sailing with good tactics and strategy, which allowed them to come back pretty close to the rest of the fleet, but this was not enough to pass them. Audi Azzurra finishes last.

Audi Sailing Team by ALL4ONE is very focused on doing well in this event, just as they did for their first victory in Sardinia earlier this season, when they won the Audi MedCup event in Cagliari last July.

Jochen Schümann, Skipper: “ It will be interesting to see what weather we will be facing here. At the moment it looks very light, and for the end of the week there is some Mistral forecasted. So that’s Porto Cervo as it is at its best. I think for everyone here the Worlds are always like the big revenge for the results over the whole year in the Audi MedCup, so that’s for sure true for us since we had two bad results to start with in the Audi MedCup, and then we did quite good results in the second half of the year. So that’s our chance to prove that we are good, and we’ll try to use this chance. ”

Seb Col, Tactician: ” We are approaching this event without complex. For sure we had a tough season on the Audi MedCup, facing ups and downs in our results, but the end of the season was quite promising, with one win in Cagliari and two 4th places in Cartagena and Barcelona (with only a very few points missing to reach the podium). This really helped us to come back in the game. So we definitely arrive here as an “outsider”. We are starting to know the race course quite well with Jochen, as we’ve sailed here 3 times already this year on other circuits. We will then focus ourselves on enjoying this event, and on finishing our season well, with the best possible result. We can achieve something good here. We didn’t make any big change before coming here, our idea being to capitalize on what we have developed this year. We will focus on doing a good season’s debrief after this event, in order to define our work headlines for this winter, and to attack 2012 on strong basis.”

Official racing will start tomorrow, with the first race to be launched at noon. The coastal race will take place on Thursday.
The eight TP52 teams offered some extremely close races, showing once more if need be how high the level is on this circuit, as not less than five different winners won in the five events on the calendar.

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE concludes today with two second places in the two last races of the week after the two podiums of yesterday, so five podiums out of nine races this week: a good performance that confirms the Franco-German team came back at its best level, after the difficulties the team had earlier this week when starting the Barcelona regatta.

Ran wins the Conde de Godo Trophy, and Quantum Racing is crowned winner of the Audi MedCup 2011 Circuit. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE takes the 6th place overall this season.

The racing season is not finished for Jochen Schümann and his team members, as they will meet again for the TP52 Worlds in Porto Cervo in two weeks.
So see you in Sardinia from 3 to 8 October.

Jochen Schümann, Skipper: “We had two good results today, but we are not failure less. So we still have potential to do better, and if we look at the last two days, sailing like this during all the event and all the season could have led us to more podiums, and we probably could have been on the podium overall. But we lost a lot at the beginning of the season, which is hard to gain back. The biggest surprise this year is that we had 5 different winners in 5 events this year, and finally here in Barcelona we had Ran winning, which is a good signal to the sailing world. The Audi MedCup is a very competitive circuit, but at the same time if some owner-drivers come with a well-prepared team and boat, they can win races here. So I think it is a big invitation to everyone. ”

Stephane Kandler, ALL4ONE’s CEO : ” The Audi MedCup finishes after a very open season with 5 different winners for each of the 5 stages, which proves the level of competition this year. Congratulations to Quantum Racing who managed to defend its leadership since day one. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE had ups and downs after a very difficult start in Cascais. The beginning was too costly in points and we have not been consistent enough to play for the overall podium. There are many good reasons to be disappointed, but we have to remember that we were able to change our fate by solving some technical issues and we have won one of the circuit stages. There are a lot of things to improve and we will work on it in order to play the first roles more often. Let's start this from the World Championships in Porto Cervo in October.”

Seb Col, Tactician: ” No regrets concerning our races from today and yesterday, where we did a good job, but more on our season overall, as we have the potential to be on the podium, (which was our goal), but we are far from that because of the performance issues we encountered on the two first events of the season in Cascais and Marseille. We will do a debrief before the TP Worlds in order to learn a maximum from this week, but also to capitalize on the positive points, which is very important. The goal is to come back on solid basis for this last event of the season for us on the TP52, as we have the capability to do very nice things.”
But this has been a good race for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE, as after sailing most of the race in the second seat until the last upwind mark, the team finally crossed the finish line in the 3rd position behind Container and Bribon.

After a start in the middle of the fleet, the Franco-German team managed to play at the right moment with a left shift on the first upwind beat, which soon allowed Jochen Schümann and his crew to become part of the race leaders. But when approaching the mark in the last half of the last upwind leg, Bribon managed to take the second place.
A good performance for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE in any case, as the team moves one place up in the general ranking of the week, just in front of its “sister ship” Audi Azzurra.

Two windward-leeward races will replace tomorrow’s coastal race, in order to catch up with the programme and the 6th race, which was initially planned to be raced today.
But the positive attitude of the team was also part of the effort, as the crew never gave up until the end of this second race day, despite its difficulties on the starts.
As the boats are very close to each other most of the time in the fleet, the smallest mistake hurts a lot (it’s also interesting to remind here that this year each Audi MedCup event was won by a different team -including Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE in Cagliari).
The team is certainly not satisfied with its results today on the score board, so the Franco-German crew will keep on fighting to come back on its competitors, while working hard to avoid the same mistakes.
The first race was launched in a light wind from 10 to 12 knots, but an individual recall occurred for Synergy, Gladiator and Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE, as they crossed the start line early, meaning that they had to go back and to cross it a second time. It was very difficult to catch up with the front of the fleet after that, and despite that the team fought hard to come back to the 4th place, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE finished the first race with a 6th place.

Then on the second race of the day, Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE did a very nice job in the leading group during the three first legs, sailing between the 2nd and the 3rd place. But at the last upwind mark, Jochen Schümann’s team members missed their manoeuvre and touched the mark with the mainsail sheet. So they got a penalty for that, that they repaired straight away doing a full turn on themselves (called a “360°” turn). As the racing is tight as ever on this competition, that mistake killed the rest of the regatta for Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE, which went from the 3rd to the last place.

The team doesn’t give up of course, and the crew will work to correct the mistakes as soon as tomorrow, with two more races waiting for the Audi MedCup contenders.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE starts the competition more determined and focused than ever, with the goal to take a spot on the podium for this last event, after having missed the 3rd place by just one point in Cartagena (South of Spain) just two weeks ago.
Indeed, the French-German crew has proved this season that they were able to beat the best teams, when they won the third stage of the Audi MedCup Circuit last July in Cagliari, Sardinia. So Jochen Schümann and his team will fight hard this week to reach the next stage in all the performance factors that they have to manage and coordinate, in order to achieve their objective.

Jochen Schümann, Skipper: “We missed the podium in Cartagena with just a tiny little margin of one point to Quantum Racing. This showed that we were on the right way, but also that our victory in Cagliari was not only by luck. Our goal is a podium finish in Barcelona. We know we missed the Circuit’s podium already, but every single race and every single trophy is important to us. The conditions in Barcelona seem to be quite uncertain from very light winds with choppy seas to strong Tramontana, so anything can happen. And the key will be to strength our general performance and not to concentrate on specific conditions.”

Sebastien Col, Tactician: ” It is very important for us to have a good finish on this 2011 Audi MedCup Circuit. We had two goals when we started the season: the first one was to win an event, and the second one was to finish on the podium overall. And we achieved one half. So we will try “to unleash ourselves” on this event, not only to close the Audi MedCup season the best possible way, but also to create good dynamics for the TP52 Worlds that will take place in Porto Cervo in October, and that will be our very last event this year with the TP52. The race course in Barcelona is not easy to read, and one of our goals will be to understand it the best that we can, besides sailing without constraints while believing in our chances.”

Laurent Delage, who is the team’s coach since the beginning of this season, but also an expert in terms of sails, will be on board this week as mainsail trimmer, as Thierry Fouchier couldn’t be there this week due to a long term commitment also taking place this week. Thierry will be back on board for the TP52 Worlds.

Laurent Delage, Mainsail Trimmer: ” We had talked about the possibility for me to trim the mainsail earlier this season if it was needed at some point, even if I’m the team’s coach. I did this position many times in my career on several regatta boats. So here we are. But I have to say that I think that this position completes my coaching job, because having observed the sails during all the season, I can now see them from the inside. And it means I can use all the observations I reported to the team and that they learnt from me. It is also very nice for me to be on board. The team feels well concentrated and calm, and training allowed us to fine tune a few things after two weeks not sailing the TP52. But it also helped me to prepare myself. My goal this week will be to make the boat the fastest possible.”

As the week’s programme starts one day earlier than usual, the official training race is taking place today, and will be followed from tomorrow till Saturday by the official races, with the coastal race taking place on Friday.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE did one 5th place and one nice win on the two last races of the day.
The results on this event clearly show the potential of the Franco-German team, finishing one point behind the 3rd in the competition, Quantum Racing. But it was also a week with very good races and very bad ones, showing that what the team needs to achieve now is consistency.
Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE will prepare Audi MedCup’s stage 5 in Barcelona with several debriefings (manoeuvres, strategy, technical details), and the team will also receive new sails.

Jochen Schümann, Skipper: “it’s a little bit disappointing, as we missed the podium just by one point. On the other hand it is good to see that we are able to win more and more races. Yesterday was especially quite disappointing having a big lead in the coastal race, and then being just too slow on the straight line with our spinnaker problems, so we lost a lot of points there. If we would have won that race, we would be on the podium now, and that would be great. Now we are just one point behind the podium, which is not too bad, but we are not pleased with that. There are lots of things we can do better, as there are many details to work on, and we can see how close the competition is here. So every small detail counts, and if you don’t get them all right, someone else will do. I think it shows that the Audi MedCup has been so close in results from the first to the last this year, so it’s quite interesting. We are happy now after a very disappointing start in the season, that we are amongst the top boats and that we can win races and be on the podium. We just have to do it.”

Stephane Kandler, ALL4ONE’s CEO : ”After our victory in Cagliari we knew we had to confirm this result. We finish one point away of the podium thanks to some great races, but also because of some very bad ones. We have improved our game compared to last year and we know we can play the victory on each stage. We must now work on our consistency with more self-confidence and fewer big mistakes, which always cost us too much.”

Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4ONE and the other teams taking part to the Audi MedCup 2011 will race again very soon, as they will meet in Barcelona for the 5th and last event of the circuit from September 12 to 17. The team will then take part to the TP52 Worlds in Porto Cervo during the first week of October.
